We wish to thank those who
donated during our recent fund raising
letter. Your response has been very
gratifying even during these trying
fiscal times. We generally have 2 fund
raising events during the year a donation
letter in the fall which is about 2 months
late this year and a dinner in the early
spring, due to recent events that event may
not happen for some time.
Your donations in the past have
allowed us to do many things that ordinarily
would not have been able or it would be
added to the tax burden. Recently we
purchased and equipped a "Command
Vehicle" entirely from donation funds. This
will enable our Fire Inspector to do his
duties with out the expense of providing his
own transportation to accomplish these
tasks. Also will allow new members that have
to do required training that may take place
at an other department.
Our "First Responder's" supplies and
equipment for the most part are purchased
with your donations. The volume of runs we
do are becoming more of the EMS/Accident
type so usage of this equipment and
replacement has become more frequent. Some
of the equipment replacement has come due to
"Mandated Replacement" as example we are
using our third AEG unit due to new guide
lines for AEG units. These are a rather
costly device but to stay inside of both
Federal and Local guidelines they needed to
be replaced. Also the majority of our
extrication equipment has been purchased
with your donations as the use of new metals
in the auto industry has also prompted
upgrading and purchasing of additional
extraction equipment.
We also wish to thank the various service
originations that have been very generous in
the past and those who have given memorials
or bequests. These generous actions on your
behalf has allowed us to keep our department
cost's down while improving our level
of service.
Once again thank all of your for your
help past, present and future.
