First we want to say thanks to those that came and enjoyed the day. Your support will enable us to apply additional funds to improve our service to you the people of the Monticello Fire District. Also above a list of those area business that contributed service or product during the event.

Thursday afternoon members picked out 3 Hogs and butchered them. Then starting early Friday morning all 3 were placed in roasters and tended during the day adjusting and monitoring the fire till done at about 4:00 pm. Other members were kept busy cleaning trucks and preparing the station for Saturday.

Here Chief Komprood and firefighter Casey Klossner are checking progress on one of the cookers.

All members were put to work Saturday morning here they are setting up the serving line and tables.

Cheese donated by area factories and others in the cheese distribution business are put out in serving trays also coleslaw is put in serving cups.

First Responder Judy Rufener is putting together a "Limburger"  cheese tray, wonder why she elected to do this outside??

Here members and some of their family members are inspecting what will become our new grass fire truck. The chassis was received yesterday and will be sent out for equipment installation shortly.

All set and ready for customers just before 11:00 am

Here is "Clyde" our rescue dummy he lets the people know the menu and prices.  We also this year had a "donation boot" set up for fellow firefighters from Stockton IL. who had a fire at their station in February this year and lost a lot of their equipment.

Here the serving line and some of our customers.

Overhead view

Loaned to us for the kids, Monroe Fire Departments inflatable Kids Slide.

The slide in action provided to be a great hit with the youngsters.

During the day Monticello's Dairy Queen handed out cheese samples to our customers.  Monticello's queen for 2016 is Karly Ready.

Just in case Pulled Pork don't strike your fancy we  also offered Brats, Burgers and Hot Dogs. The grilling crew were kept busy turning them out.

It's 2:00 and serving is done here members are taking down the serving line.

Members are folding up the tables and chairs that were provided to us by the Monticello Schools.

Just as much fun as the slide itself here the members kids are "deflating" the slide.

They are getting it "down to size".

Just about done floor is cleaned up, tables and chairs back at school.
